A man named Justin Marshall called and claimed he is from an attorney’s office and that I had taken out a payday loan 5 years ago (which I didn’t). He knew my social security number and the bank where the payday loan was deposited which is not a bank ive ever banked with. I told him I wanted proof, and he said the proof is on my credit report and to get it from there. I told him I didn’t take out a payday loan nor do I have a checking account at the bank the loan was deposited in, he again said the from his investigation he knows I have a checking account at the bank but still would not provide me proof. He then called my 20 year old daughter’s cell phone and I have absolutely no idea where he would have gotten her phone number. I asked to quit calling both of our numbers. As consumers, when debt collectors call us, we have to right to ask them to quit call us and they have to quit or they are violating consumer rights. I will be reporting him.
